Mary Kurek is the Founder and President of Frontrunners Development Inc. (FDI) headquartered in the United States. The firm, (FDI) which supports all United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, focuses work on Goal #17 (Partnerships for all Goals.) FDI conducts business development in impact spaces by developing relationships through a curated community of global innovators and diplomats. The work involves the facilitation of solutions primarily, but not limited to healthcare, economic development, and education. Kurek is a Long Leaf Pine Award Recipient for Outstanding Service to the Citizens of North Carolina and has co-founded two local nonprofits (Carteret Sports Leadership, Inc. and Carteret County Friends of Aging). She sits on the boards of several international organizations including UNAccc, a leading think tank and research organization headquartered in India. She was appointed in 2021 as a Trade and Investment Counselor by Prince Telesphore for the Royal House of Madagascar. Kurek was appointed by the NC Governor in July of 2022 to his Advisory Council on Aging and was appointed as Ambassador for the Women’s Economic Forum - Silicon Valley in August of 2022. FDI’s impact includes facilitating the instigation of the first Renaissance Smart Village Project in Malawi in partnership with the Malawi President’s Office and their Honorary Consul General to Israel and remains partnered with the lead company, founded by a former US Congressman/US Ambassador and a Global Economics Strategist. FDI has facilitated laptop acquisition for a new library in a refugee camp in Malawi and thousands of PPEs for areas of need in Africa, the US, and India.

The firm has instigated healthcare, health tech, and economic development collaborative relationships globally, produced and participated in mentor and youth development programs, helped to secure 1,000 safe-delivery kits for a maternity clinic in Africa, introduced agritech partners, advised and assisted hundreds of innovators, and facilitated trade relationships among stakeholders worldwide. FDI has even facilitated the addition of a participant to a diplomatic entourage for a peace-building and development mission from the US to meet Sudan’s president in 2021. Repeated in 2022.
